BIRDSONG SCHOOL OF MUSIC
IS PROUD TO PRESENT ELEMENTAL MUSIC

This Fall we are offering classes for: Piano/Keyboard, Guitar, Ukelele, Harp, Mountain Dulcimer, & Beginning Bass Guitar.

All classes are private, 30 minutes weekly. Then the last class of every month will be Let’s Play Together. In this class we will be having fun and learning to play with friends. Private classes are held at The Dixie Carter PAC and the cost is $80 per month.

Elemental Music teaches the basic principles of music.  This is accomplished by using music, movement, speech, drama, listening and imagination.  Our program is based on the Orff Schulwerk approach which has been tried and tested around the world for almost 100 years.

For children, we supply the tools and leadership to express themselves musically with rhythm, instrument playing, singing, drama, art and improvisation.  All this leads to a child that naturally progresses to read, understand music and apply their knowledge to their chosen instrument.

BEGINS TUESDAY, SEPT 6, for a 12-WK SEMESTER (ON TUESDAYS)
∙ 4-6 yr olds / tentatively set for 5:00p
∙ 7-9 yr olds/ tentatively set for 6:00p

Cost is $200 for the full semester with all materials provided.
Classes will be held at The Dixie - 191 Court Square / Huntingdon, TN.

Birdsong Harp Center understands that music is a language and are dedicated to teaching students of all ages to speak (play), read and write this language.  Sheila Mitchell-Hart, founder, has been teaching music for over 25 years.  She has helped hundreds of students of all ages learn to play and enjoy their instruments.  Sheila's teaching methods are a unique blend of the aural tradition, classical approach, chording and a healthy dose of fun.
