1-DAY DIGITAL ART WORKSHOP

Instructor: Laura Deville
Location: The Dixie’s Ballroom Gallery
Date: Monday, April 8, 2024
Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Cost: $25 per person

The Dixie is offering an in-person digital art workshop for all levels of experience (recommended for 7th Grade - Adults).

 What you’ll need:
-Bring your own iPad (5th generation or more recent) or and iPad Pro (any generation)
-Bring your own Apple Pencil (other styluses will work but without the full capabilities)
-The Procreate App. downloaded onto your IPad. 

You will learn how to:
…set up your canvas 
…use layers, group layers, combine layers
…create masks and clipping masks
…use tools and gestures
…use the color palette, gradients, and opacity capabilities
…make selections and use the editing tools
…share and print your art

Plus, you’ll learn lots of tips and shortcuts to make creating art on the IPad easier and more enjoyable. We will learn hands-on by creating a digital design of a mountain landscape together in class, and you’ll have the creative freedom to make your landscape personal and unique!

2-DAY POTTERY WORKSHOP

Instructor: Hannah Kyle
Location: Mudslingers
Dates: Thursday, April 11, 2024 + Thursday, April 18, 2024
Times: 1st-2nd Grades - 3:30pm-4:30pm  / 3rd-5th Grades - 4:45pm-5:45pm / 6th-Adults - 6:15-8:15pm
Cost: $30 for 1st-5th Grades, $45 for 6th-Adults

Classes will consist of an introduction to basic pottery skills of pinching, coil-building, & slab construction. Students will also be introduced to various glazing & firing processes. This spring workshop will include one day of making flower vases and then one day of glazing those vases. Students will pick up work at a later exhibit.
