Wired Tuesday, November 16 @ 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
Wired
Presented by: Green Thumb Theatre

Grades 3 – 8

Themes covered: Internet Bullying, Safe Schools, and Internet Safety. In a time of constantly being wired in, effortless photo snapshots and uploads from camera phones, and where conversations aren't taking place face to face, this new play examines the alarming rise of cyber-bullying, where cruelty can be administered instantaneously and anonymously. Bullying in the schoolyards has been replaced by the simple press of the return button, causing apathy and disconnects to arise, ironically from being virtually connected. Just because it’s virtual does not make it less real.

Detailed instructions left by Farmer Brown fall into the wrong hands (or wings!), and Duck takes the opportunity to do a little re-writing – with a few creative embellishments that result in madcap musical mutiny. Soon it’s pizza for the hen and bubble baths for the pig!
